Preview

Open on your phone the dev servers running on your computer, for example the npm run dev that the agent started, without exposing any port to the network.

Where to find it

In the Preview button (globe icon) in the terminal's key bar.

How it works

  1. Wendo lists the TCP ports listening on your computer. It uses ss and, where that doesn't exist (macOS), lsof. Port 22 doesn't appear.
  2. You tap one, for example 127.0.0.1:3000.
  3. The app opens an SSH tunnel to that port and loads the page in a browser inside Wendo.

The bar at the top shows the address and has buttons to reload, open the page in the system browser, and close.

Requirements

  • A connected terminal session.
  • ss or lsof on your computer, to list the ports.

Limits

  • Only one tunnel is open at a time: opening another port closes the previous one.
  • The tunnel closes when you leave the screen. “Open outside the app” uses that same tunnel, so it stops working when you leave.
  • The page is loaded over http://, not https://.
  • With lsof you see the process name; with ss, only the port.
  • It is part of Wendo Pro.
