Images and files

You can pass the agent a screenshot, a photo, or a file from your phone. Wendo uploads it to your computer over the open SSH connection and writes its path in the prompt so the agent can read it.

Where to find it

In the terminal's composer, the attach button offers:

  • Camera: take a photo.
  • Photo or video: choose photos or videos.
  • Clipboard: the image you have copied.
  • File: any file on your phone.

When you paste in the terminal, if the clipboard has an image, it is uploaded and its path is pasted. If it has text, the text is pasted.

What happens when you send

  1. Each file is uploaded to ~/.wendo/uploads/<timestamp>-<name>. While it uploads it is named .part, and only when it finishes does it get its final name.
  2. The paths, in quotes, go before your message. For example: '/Users/you/.wendo/uploads/1730000000000-screenshot.png' check this error.

Nothing goes through third-party servers.

Requirements

  • A connected session.
  • A POSIX shell with base64 on your computer. The one in macOS and in any Linux works.

Limits

  • Up to 16 attachments per message and 10 MB per file.
  • Photos are recompressed at 80% quality.
  • The upload goes in chunks: with large files it takes longer than scp.
  • Wendo doesn't delete ~/.wendo/uploads. Clean it out from time to time.
  • Attaching from the composer is part of Wendo Pro.
